Greece


Greece marked our debut in Europe, and it was an easy choice. Santorini's legendary sunsets exceeded all expectations, casting a spell with their unmatched beauty. The iconic white- washed buildings adorned with blue domes against the Aegean Sea are nothing short of surreal. Mykonos, on the other hand, boasts some of the most pristine beaches imaginable, with crystal-clear waters and golden sands. Its charming architecture, featuring whitewashed structures adorned with colorful doors and shutters, coupled with narrow cobblestone streets, creates an enchanting atmosphere. The windmills overlooking Mykonos Town are an iconic sight, adding to the island's allure. Greece, indeed, is a visual paradise, offering an abundance of breathtaking landscapes, ancient ruins, and lively cultural scenes waiting to be captured through the lens.

Travel & Visa - There are multiple connecting flights to Athens. Duration vary from 9-11 hours depending on the connections and layovers Indian citizens need to obtain a Schengen visa to enter Greece.

Best Time to visit -

May to September are the best months. Though you can also plan in Oct and April but it will be slightly cold around that time.

Ideal Duration: 3-4 days

Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Athens

  • Morning: Arrival at Athens International Airport (ATH).
  • Afternoon: Visit the iconic Acropolis, including the Parthenon, Erechtheion, and
  • Temple of Athena Nike. Capture panoramic views of Athens from the hilltop.
  • Evening: Wander through the historic Plaka neighborhood, known for its charming
  • cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and traditional tavernas.

Day 2: Athens to Mykonos

  • Morning: Transfer to Athens Airport for your flight to Mykonos (JMK).
  • Late Morning/Afternoon: Spend the day visiting the beaches, including Paradise
  • Beach, Super Paradise Beach, and Ornos Beach.
  • Evening: Explore Mykonos Town (Chora), known for its whitewashed buildings,
  • narrow alleys, and iconic windmills. Photograph the charming architecture, colorful bougainvillea, and scenic waterfront.

Day 3: Mykonos to Santorini

  • Morning: Transfer to Mykonos Port for your ferry to Santorini.
  • Late Morning: Arrival in Santorini and transfer to your hotel. Explore the island's
  • unique landscapes, including the dramatic cliffs of Oia, the black sand beaches of Perissa and Kamari, and the volcanic caldera.
  •  Afternoon/Evening: Visit the village of Oia for its famous sunset views. Photograph the whitewashed buildings, blue-domed churches, and breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea as the sun dips below the horizon.

Day 4: Santorini to Athens

  • Morning: Spend your final morning in Santorini exploring the island's sights and attractions. Visit ancient ruins like Akrotiri or hike the scenic trails from Fira to Oia.
  • Afternoon: Departure

TURKEY


Turkey has been one of our favourites from a long time. In fact this was the place we had chosen for our very first pre wedding shoot done Europe back in 2015. The ease of travel, weather, general cost of travel and its uniqueness are some things that make Turkey one of the most popular places in Europe for a pre wedding shoot!

Travel & Visa - Several airlines operate flights between India and Turkey, including Turkish Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Air India. The flight duration from major cities in India (such as Delhi or Mumbai) to Istanbul is approximately 6 to 8 hours, depending on the route and layovers. Indian citizens need to obtain a tourist visa (e-visa or sticker visa) to enter Turkey for tourism purposes. You can apply for an e-visa for Turkey online through the official website of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs or through authorized visa service providers. The e-visa allows for a stay of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

Best Time to visit -

April, May, September and October are pleasantly warm, with temperatures of 20°- 30°C, so are the best times to visit Turkey's grand array of ancient sites.

Ideal Duration: 3 days

Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Istanbul

  • Morning: Visit Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque
  • Afternoon: Visit Topkapi Palace, the former residence of Ottoman sultans, and explore its beautiful courtyards, gardens, and exhibitions.
  • Evening: Visit one of the rooftops to get iconic view of the city and get a shot with the seagulls

Day 2: Cappadocia

  • Morning: Fly from Istanbul to Cappadocia (Nevsehir or Kayseri Airport).
  • Afternoon: Visit Goreme Open-Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Can
  • also consider Pasabag Valley and the ancient cave dwellings in Devrent Valley.
  • Evening: Sunset view from one of the panoramic viewpoints in Cappadocia, such as Sunset Point or Red Valley.

Day 3: Cappadocia

  • Early Morning: Experience the magical spectacle of hot air ballooning over Cappadocia's surreal landscapes at sunrise. Best is to get the photos from the ground. All the balloons go up at the same time and very early in the morning so be prepared!
  • Afternoon: Continue your exploration of Cappadocia with a visit to Uchisar Castle, the highest point in the region, offering panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and fairy chimneys.
  • Evening: Visit one of the carpet shops that provide them as a backdrop for the some amazing photos

Day 4: Departure

Austria


Austria is one of the most picturesque locations in Europe. We have already been to Austria a couple of time as tourists but still yearn to go back to this place. From Vienna’s grand palaces to the Austrian Alps, to the picturesque towns of Innsbruck, Salzburg, and Graz to the crystal- clear waters of Lake Hallstatt, everywhere you go in Austria it provides for an amazing backdrop for a photograph

Travel & Visa - The flight duration from major cities in India to Vienna or Salzburg varies depending on the route and layovers, but it typically ranges from 8 to 10 hours. Indian citizens need to obtain a Schengen visa to enter Austria for tourism or business purposes.

Best Time to visit - May to September is the best time to visit Austria. But if you want to avoid the crowd then early May and late September are the best times!

Day 1: Arrival in Vienna

  • Morning: Arrival at Vienna International Airport (VIE).
  • Afternoon: Begin your exploration of the city by visiting Schönbrunn Palace and St.
  • Stephen's Cathedral
  • Evening: Visit the Belvedere Palace

Day 2: Day Trip to Hallstatt

  • Morning: Travel from Vienna to Hallstatt by train or private transfer (approximately 3 to 4 hours).
  • Late Morning/Afternoon: Spend your time exploring Hallstatt's charming Old Town, photographing its iconic lakeside houses reflected in the clear waters of Lake Hallstatt.
  • Evening: Boat ride on Lake Hallstatt for breathtaking views of the surrounding Alps. 

Day 3: Return to Vienna

  • Morning: Depending on your flight time, take some final photographs of Hallstatt's morning light.
  • Late Morning/Afternoon: Travel back to Vienna, enjoying the scenic journey through the Austrian countryside.
  • Evening: Transfer to Vienna International Airport for your return flight to India, reflecting on the incredible memories and photographs captured during your Austrian adventure.

CROATIA


This is another country that has been in our bucket list for a while now. Gorgeous beaches and hidden coves, picturesque towns and stunning scenery – Croatia has everything you could possibly want for an ultimate holiday. Its Adriatic coastline offers breathtaking beaches, crystal-clear waters, and charming coastal towns such as Dubrovnik and Split, while its interior is adorned with lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and picturesque lakes like Plitvice.

Travel & Visa - It will take 12 to 14 hrs to reach Dubrovnik via connecting flights. Indian citizens need a Schengen visa.

Weather

The best time to visit Croatia is June to October in the summer when the weather is hot and sunny.

Ideal Duration: 4-5 days

Croatia offers stunning landscapes and picturesque locations that are perfect for a photoshoot. Here's a suggested 4- day itinerary focusing on capturing the beauty of Croatia:


Day 1: Arrive in Dubrovnik

  • Morning: Start your day early to capture the sunrise over the city walls or from Mount Srđ for panoramic views and Explore the Old Town of Dubrovnik, narrow streets, alleys, and historic buildings.
  • Afternoon: Head to Fort Lovrijenac for more stunning views of Dubrovnik and the surrounding coastline.
  • Evening: Capture the sunset from one of the scenic viewpoints in the city, such as Buža Bar or the city walls.

Day 2: Split (3hrs Drive)

  • Morning: Drive to Split, Croatia's second-largest city.
  • Afternoon: Explore Diocletian's Palace and Climb the bell tower of the Cathedral of Saint Domnius for panoramic views of Split
  • Evening: Marjan Hill for sunset views.

Day 3: Plitvice Lakes National Park (3 hours of travelling)

  • Morning: Early morning depart from Split and and head to your accommodation near the park.
  • Afternoon & Evening: Spend the day exploring the park's trails, wooden walkways, and viewpoints.

Day 4: Istria

  • Morning: Travel to Istria
  • Afternoon: Visit the town of Rovinj for the cobblestone streets, photographing the colorful buildings, fishing boats.
  • Evening: Explore the hilltop village of Motovun and late evening Head back to Dubrovnik.

Day 5: Departure from Dubrovnik to Mumbai
